Hello XMTP community! I am a contributor to Abstract chain (abs.xyz) and was looking to potentially integrate XMTP. The majority of our users use our smart wallet, Abstract Global Wallet.
I wanted to inquire about the process to get Abstract added as a supported chain for SCW addresses.
Hey @jha are these forums still active or are they abandoned? I thought XTMP was actively being developed but I haven’t been able to get a response here. I was following the guidance here ( Create a EOA or SCW signer – Build with XMTP ) that says “Need support for a different chain ID? Please post your request to the XMTP Community Forums.”
I attempted to join the biweekly XTMP dev call but it doesn’t appear to be happening this week. Looking for guidance here.
Hey @coffeexcoin — thanks so much for tagging me, and for your patience! The forums are still active, though the team’s been a little quieter lately because we’re heads down working on decentralization — a big focus for us right now.
We’ve seen a few requests like yours for additional chain ID support, and yours is definitely on our list. We’re excited about expanding support and expect to share more details early next year.
To stay in the loop and join upcoming dev calls, you can check the schedule here: XMTP Developer Community Events · Events Calendar. We’d really love to have you join and continue building with us!
