Everytime I reload my xmtp webapp, a new signature request pops up for a fresh installation. Is this the new behaviour now?

Yes. I just confirmed on https://xmtp.chat. It indeed registers new installation on every reload.
Is this problem unique to me?

Update: Just tried it on a different browser (Arc browser) and it didn’t create new installation every time I reload.
Maybe the problem is with Chrome browser?
My Chrome browser details: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) Ap…KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/137.0.0.0 Safari/537.36
Update: The behaviour just started on Arc browser too. 
I am seeing this behavior too. trying to migrate my app to xmtp v3.
